If Only You Loved Me Then Poem by Alexander Foald

If Only You Loved Me Then

I could put out the flame out of the water
I could take away the pain from hearts of people
I could see where the wind will blow,
I could tell where my life should go
Before I met you

I could breathe the air in the outer space
I could touch the sun with my bare hands
I could lift objects with no gravity
I could say there wasn’t such a thing as mystery
Before I met you

You could make my heart stomp on its feeling
You could blind my eyes while I’m watching
You could steal a lot of loves from people in town
You could give away of faith like roses in Valentine

And I know something better than this:

We could have so much better when we’re broke
We could have known where our fate goes
We could be the best couple they’ve ever seen
We could be everything, if only you loved me then
