If Raven Was To Come Today Poem by Shirley Harrison

If Raven Was To Come Today

If Raven was to come today
I'd tell him I don't wish to play

you see he comes to me as grief
today I have not one fresh reef

today the sun, the sun does shine
I do not wish to cry by shrine
the snow is far the sun, suffice
no freezing winds no breaking ice

just calm and warmth
a peaceful day
I'll let my grief just rest and lay

if Raven was to come today
I'd tell him I don't wish to play.
