If These Ears Could Hear Poem by Hailee Zielinski

If this mouth could speak clearly
what would it say
probly something like can you come play
or lets stay inside till the rain goes away
but one things for certain if this mouth could speak clearly
my lips would utter the words 'i love you'
and when you look into my eyes
what do you see
a pool full of sadness or the innermost me
but one thing i kno
when you look into my eyes you will find the words 'i love you'
and if i listend with my ears
what would they hear
would they hear happieness, laughter and cheer
or would they hear bickering, snickering, cries and tears
would they be willing to listen to what you had to say
or would i be to nervous and get up and walk away
but as i am walking
i hear a whisper in my ears that dont hear
'i love you too'
if only if only my ears could hear
