If Today Was Yesterday Poem by Taasvinie Nahenthran

If Today Was Yesterday

Humans are like iguana,
Some are even under marijuana.
This makes me feel like I'm in angina,
I wish I can fly away like a Myna.

If yesterday was today,
I wouldn't have ran away,
Why do I feel I'm so faraway?
Where can I find that button to replay?

If it wasn't me, this wouldn't have happened,
It ached, but I stayed,
I think I am to be blamed,
Because it is now destroyed.

When I'm  trying to stick those fractured pieces together,
It crushes again like a paper,
Guess its time for no more smudged eyeliner,
Instead be a blossoming lavender.
