If We Were Lovers Poem by Michael J ORourke2

If We Were Lovers

If we were lovers...
what a carriage we would ride
Across the sky like lightning
And Down through canyons so wide

The Hyacinths would pay homage
To such a regal pair
And we would bow and curtsy
Then vanish in the rarified air.
