If You Only Knew Poem by Matthew Petranovich

If You Only Knew

If you knew,
that half of poems,
were about you.
What would you do?
What would you do?
If you knew
that I really, truly, honestly
love you
What would you do?
If you knew,
That I wanted to be more then friends,
would you make this pain end?
If you knew,
That you were the one,
Would you try to escape and run?
If you knew,
what I know,
Would you want me
to make my feeling show?
If you only knew,
The only one I want is you,
What would you do?
If only you knew.
I want you to know.

Very beautiful, and very true. I think all poets have a reoccurring muse mentioned in their works. I really enjoyed this poem, keep on writing.
