If You Only Knew Poem by Chris Blaser

If You Only Knew

Rating: 5.0

If you only knew, my dear friend,
who it is that is looking through your eyes,
you would bow to your Self,
in absolute admiration
for the unspeakable beauty
of this most glorious creation.

If you only knew, my dear friend,
who it is that you are,
you would stand in ovation for your Self,
filled with joy of the highest order
for the composition of this most melodious symphony
of all time for all time.

If you only knew, my dear friend,
who you are,
you would tremble before your Self,
in deepest gratefulness
for meeting the one you never dreamed possible to meet
and for shaking hands in such ways they can nevermore part.

But you don’t know who you are, my dear friend,
but I know who you are, and I wish you well,
for all is well indeed, it is more than well,
and it can never be otherwise,
for even in the midst of brokenness
are you whole and complete.

Until you find out who you are, my dear friend,
be kind to others as there are none,
and enjoy your Self,
for your Self is a true blessing
to this very world of yours.
