If You'Re A Bird, I'M A Bird. Poem by Jack Sears

If You'Re A Bird, I'M A Bird.

Rating: 5.0

every heartbeat untouched by mine,
is a second wasted, through space, and time.

every breath that escapes her, that i can't take,
is a second wasted, and my mistake.

every twinkle of her ever-lasting eyes, unseen by mine
is a second wasted, through space, and time.

every smile that i must fake,
is a second wasted, and my mistake.

every second with her is more valuable,
than the breathe in my lungs,
or the stars in the sky,
or the music i've heard.

if you're a bird,
i'm a bird.

together,
forever,
flying high.
