If You Were Poem by Leman eros

If You Were

I can't describe what you are to me
How i feel has a higher complexity
I'll tell you what you would be
If you were

If you were a rose, your fragrance would heat my heart's vase
and keep loneliness at bay with your lilac embrace.

If you were the sun, you'd have a loving ray
and with that light keep all melancholy away.

If you were the snow, i would shiver and shake
I would stay in the cold trying to catch every unique flake.

If you were shattered glass, i would break too
scattering everywhere just to be by you.

If you were a lie, i would be deceived
i've made my mind up you're the only one for me.

Now i just have one more and i know it's sort of lame
but if you were my whole heart then you'd stay the same.
