I'll Be Your Little Secret Poem by Max Conner

I'll Be Your Little Secret

Roses white with blood strained stems.
Love of mine, I watch you love her from
afar. I see the way you look at her, I see
the smiles you used to share with me.
I sit in silence waiting for you to look
my way. I'm a ghost, invisible.
You cannot see the
pain you cause me when you
laugh with her, listen
to her the way you
never listened to me.
Promises untold, never
kept only held in my heart.
I gave you my all,
gave and gave until
there was nothing else to give.
I was lost long before
I was found and now
I have nothing, no one.
