Both went to study in Illinois
Back then he was just a young boy
She was a new student and out of place
God intervened to show His face

College is where he first saw her
A beautiful womanly sight was she
In his eye she was the only one for he
At Illinois Northwest University

His heart took note at the start
she was soon to be his heart
God's will destined her to be
his future wife for him to see

a sealed life ahead to explore
a love beyond love's door

walking hand in hand
time traveling sand
wind at their backs
journey to the promise land

Portland then Hawaii
missionaries chosen
oceans tide proposing
to minister with heart

two new souls become one part
of God's Master Plan
