Illusions Of The Mind Poem by Sarah Martens

Illusions Of The Mind

Rating: 4.3

Consider:
your body
And my body
As one.

Entwined together.

Does this really work?
Illusions of the mind.

I make things seem
Like I want them to be...

The truth:
I hurt.

The lie:
We fit together.

I like this poem The conclusion would have a different feel if the line where it says 'The truth: I hurt' said 'The truth: hurts'. Just an observation. this would IMHO make the conclusion more emphatic.
