I'm not him, I never will be
I worked hard to keep You happy
But Your heart was with another
Someone I couldn't be
No matter how hard I tried
I failed to keep You with me.

He was right for You,
He gave you happiness
Happiness I could not offer
Happiness You deserve.
I have to let You go,
No matter how hard it hurts.

I was selfish,
I was wrong
I should've let You go sooner
But I did not,
Because I'd rather be selfish than have You gone
However, I could not hold on to You for long.
You slipped out of my arms,
and right into His.
And now,
A memory is all you are.
