Im Sorry Poem by Darren Bourke

Im Sorry

I'm sorry

I'm sorry it ended up this way

It wasn't something I foresaw when we kissed that day (I'm sorry)

I'm sorry that I made you laugh

I'm sorry that I lead you down this unfinished path (I'm sorry)

I'm sorry that I let you in

My mind

It looks safe but its been built on sin (I'm sorry)

I'm sorry that I made you cry

It was never my intention on that day you said Hi (I'm sorry)

Im sorry that you read my birth chart

and did a drawing of me, turning our love into art (I'm sorry)

Im sorry kissing you felt so good

My head said no

My heart kept telling me that I should (I'm sorry)

When I want something I take take take

Without considering the heart that i'll eventually break (I'm sorry)

Im sorry that I made you smile

And stared into your eyes like they were going out of style (I'm sorry)

Im sorry that I don't regret a thing

See I don't care about money and shiny bling

I chase love and things that make my heart sing

So if I told you I regretted it

That would be a lie

The aftermath was unfortunate

But not many really look into my eye

So thank you

And Goodbye
