Images Of Black And Red Poem by Zakhele Anigon

Images Of Black And Red

A shadow, black as if light had never been
Cast in paradox, from outside to within
Turning liquid, obeying not the nature's laws
Dynamic, flooding the flesh as it slowly flows
Enveloping, shrouding the heart and chest
The lungs, the stomach,
The liver, the bowels,
The kidneys the rest
Spreading, blackening the joints of the limbs
Creaking, wet but rough like sand paper films
Seeding, new nails that black slowly grow
And the eyes turn red
And the lips turn gray
And the blood is slow

An angel, dressed in black a gown
A mask, red, only eyes, no frown
The wings, black with long-long feathers
The floor they touch, as if dipping to get theirs
Like brushes, craving colour, getting red
A massacre, is what through they must have swept
To get to be so amazing and awe-full
To paint the angel's trail so colourful
Red the feather tips
Red the black gown's edge
Red the naked feet
Red the mask that pain sheds
Black the gown
Black the adorning hood
Black eye sockets
And inside an empty look
