Somewhere in a nebulous ineffable tomorrow
A place for humanity devoid of pain and sorrow,
Beyond the hectic, frenzied civilizations we know
Nurturing places for solitude, calm, and peace, to grow,
Where love of the beautiful and gentility abound
In a different place inconceivable to be found,
Only residing still in dreams and stranger fantasies
'Not possible, ' one of our most pernicious fallacies.
Listening to people who see a future full of doom,
I still foster hope for a better, safer world with room
For all different nationalities, races, and creeds--
Society capable of meeting our diverse needs.
Idealistic, most utopian, I comprehend,
As our world is now, I would surely hate for it to end.
