Imagining Me Over You - Poem by Timmy Tubbs

It’s okay; I have the urges too
I have learned to control them
Because I know they stem from you
The tingling is meaningless with them
And we know that
It just gives us an image of both of us
On those perfect nights we would sneak
Quivering with each other holding a night of lust

And I shake
And you shake

Perhaps my intentions were wrong
That is not all I saw in you darling
Not at all
My first attraction to you was your vocals
And how you harmonize with every song
That is why I do not get angry now thinking of you
And him
I understand the whim
We all do
But know that I only think of you
It is that only that sets me free
It helps me remember those perfect two
And anything you are secretly sorry for, don’t be
I have already forgiven you

A true feeling of had, loss then forgiveness. If only all loves could be like this.
