Immortality Poem by Quaid-Uz- Zaman

Immortality

I never existed!
and I do not exist now and so will I never exist;
but always 'a being' out of nothingness-
that traces back to the supreme, the eternity
the essence of which I know not
I am a soul;
a body of lust and desires
I am a thirst perpetual
A love universal
A fire indistinguishable
A riddle unanswered
often overdescribed,
Yet not defined;
I am a pulse to be felt in the pulsation of an unknown pulsar
I have always been beyond my existence
and without mortal existence
I glorify myself in oneness
the immortality.
