Chanel Jackson

Imprisoned - Poem by Chanel Jackson

Alone,
words resounding,
bouncing against
the cold, hard, eerie walls
of my brain.
Thoughts
Never revealed,
Myself,
Barred behind them
Imprisoned.
nothing to do
but lay on a cold, hard,
uninviting bed
tallying the days
‘til I’m freed of these words unsaid.
