In A Long Life We / We Have Passing Acquaintance/With So Many

In a long life
We have passing acquaintance
With so many
There are those we would have liked to have known better
And those we would have never liked to have even seen at all-

But in the long distance
Most from our early years
Remain questions
And what they have done with their lives
Goes unanswered -

While we wonder where the years have gone
And how they have managed to live
Through all that time
Without our knowing
What they have lived without us.
