In Between Together Poem by Snehith Allamraju

In Between Together

Phrases of care and lines of love
In poems and in odes I have read them say
I've seen them mumbling the three words all the time
And mostly felt their real essence wither away
I have the pen and you have the paper
Let's make some time to get our lines together
To inspire men that the real poetry is
When we are somewhere in between together

In couples' canvases and frames I've observed
The strokes lackluster and the shades of grey
I've seen the tears of paint drip and brushes dry
And felt the fits of anger and sense of fray
I have the brush and you have the color
Let's make some time to paint together
A portrait colorful of the oneness we share
When we are somewhere in between together

In songs and their singers I've heard
Pitches of madness and the Monotonous tunes
In their parodies gone wrong and flatter rhythms
I've felt the suffering chorus's misfortune
I have the voice and you have the keys
Let's make some time to sing together
A duet that strikes hearts with the harmony
When we are somewhere in between together

In Tattered, torn relationships I have seen
The missing buttons and the hanging threads
In their arguments and patch ups later I have seen
The pleats gone wrong and the knots un-tread
I have the needle and you have the thread
Let's make some time to stitch together
A life of moments frozen in time
Our life, always better when we are together,
Somewhere in between together
