In Case Poem by James Casey

In Case

Rating: 4.5

In Case

If I'm to pass from this fragile world
In to another not ready I'm hurled

So sudden it took place, not understanding or why
That upon this day, at this time, I would die

Some leave so fast never knowing their road
And some linger forever having been long ago told

Does either make it easy, knowing, when the end might come
Maybe not important to anyone, but it is for just one

Am I ready for this journey and is my life in good order?
Nothings for certain and no promise, to grow older

Have I made it a point, to say all my goodbyes?
If not let this be it, just in case I do die
