In Death, In Verve Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

In Death, In Verve

In death
I love you to give life
The first streak
Of the Sun
Caresses the flower head
Into a fulminating bloom.

In life,
I love you to give death
The first breath of reality
Settles in to disrupt
The conjured delusions
Until everything fades,
Whittles and dithers
Away, way away
Into a far-flung horizon.
