In death the deeds of a man are recounted
First measured by the numbers that attend
And by the numbers that send
And by those who share moments remembered
Accounting times that marked importance to them
The photos of a fruitful life
Through the life and times of youth to now
The choices and paths he has chosen
Revealing his true greatness
And reminding us of all we will miss
I bow
I am honored to have known such a man
In dedication to my uncle Homer Cherk 1930-2011
