In Distant Blue Waters Poem by Evrim Usta

In Distant Blue Waters

My heart, a wandering ship
Collides with rocks along the way.
Waves hurl me;
From one shore to another, I sway.

My soul yearns for the wind,
May it fill my sails.
In distant blue waters,
I'll find myself once again.

Turn the helm, oh captain, toward distant islands.
Perhaps, we'll encounter mermaids. If fate smiles,
We'll find the North Star or a compass true,
We won't be lost in the distance we pursue.

Let no sea remain uncharted, unknown,
No harbour where our anchor isn't thrown.
Let us live this brief life with grace,
Leaving behind cherished memories in my trace.
