In Event Of Chenua's Demise Poem by Prince Kenny Osei

In Event Of Chenua's Demise

Oedipus' Rex
I stand still in my mind
And your preface lingers
I caught this aura
Not with glee
Because Odewale; freshly lives

Haunts of this grim reality
Beckons day & night
And today, not an exception

Chenua Achebe
We know that you rest proud,
Baton's handed over to this new age
We'll look on
To tap from the pipe
Of Wole Soyinka & tomorrow

We bow our heads
And evoke good rest
To be your paradigm
As you lie abed
Chinua Achebe
Damirifa! ! !
Due! Due ne amanehunu! ! !
