Exchanging wedding rings in Your presence,
I tied the nuptial knots before Thee, Lord;
The Sacrament of Matrimony, hence
Was blessed by You, as per Your living Word.
The bliss of married life has seen its lows;
‘Who is to blame? ’ – no one really knows;
Sometimes, we fail to understand the spouse,
As human faults brings chaos to the house.
Attempts to see things rightly had all failed;
The wedding carriage had somehow derailed;
But faith and prayers tried to set it right,
As Adam, Eve came back from dark to light!
The marriage struggled amidst earthly storms;
Its holy raiment got eaten by worms;
The Holy Spirit gives the healing touch;
God’s saving grace returns its magic much.
As marriages are made in heaven, so,
One’s bickering must somehow vanish, oh!
Unite a man, woman before Lord Christ –
A promise we must keep, no matter – first.
