In Memoriam Poem by Eric Bult

In Memoriam

Your eye has fallen upon this poor rhyme
Before, but never have you stopped to read
It right through to the end; you have no time
To waste upon this and you do not heed
The blessed truth I now reveal to you.
Though I did die some many years now past
My spirit still lives on in body new
That knows not of the life which could not last.
Between these lives my spirit then recalled
All lives before, and thus the path it trod;
Some good, some bad, so bad that I'm appalled
How poorly I did walk this path to God.

I know now that my spirit yearns above
All other things, to be the source of love.
