In My Arms - Poem by Andrew Degen

A door is opened
her heart speaks out
as mine longs to hold her
to embrace her crying soul
means the world
she brightens as we intertwine
if oly I could show my passion
unsmask it
ler it run free
like a painted wild mustang
running through the field
her eyes are gorgeous
more beautiful than a night sky
on a full moon night
I become overwhelmed
for what cannot be
the distance is far to great
for two to handle
now their war...
is won
