In my universe…

I’m thirsty for words,
Hungry for a verse.
Can’t feed my appetite,
With any of these books.


I’m drowning in pages,
Both old and out dated.
I need to find something,
To keep me sedated.

I need something different,
Food for the spirit.
A love of story,
Something creative.

Now I start digging,
Frantically ripping.
Searching for something,
Hopefully uplifting.

I can’t write a word,
I can’t find a verse.
Just another sad day,
