In Plain Sight
In plain sight
And yet unseen
Offering up yourself to be used
Giving your all
And yet it just isn't enough
Fighting to keep above water
Fighting to be enough
And you wonder will it ever be enough
Will you ever be noticed
Or are you merely a comforter
There to pass the time
To be used and then discarded
Until the better one comes along
And yet you remain
To be seen…
