In Praise Of Nobility (Nine) Poem by Rubaba Mmahajia Rahma Sabtiu

In Praise Of Nobility (Nine)

Woe to you who takes those as your stars
The musicians, the actors, the poets
In whose words Allah is a jest, nastagfirullaah
Woe to you who takes him as your hero
The tyrant whose heart is devoid of feeling
Woe to you who takes her as a mentor
She whose counsel is empty of Allah
Yet there lived a man one like no other
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
Talk to me about a shining superstar
Tell me about a mega mentor
Narrate to me the heritage of a hero
Show me a healing and a hearty husband
Did you hear of a tender and thrilling teacher?
There was a man one like no other
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
He was to his followers a loving and lovely leader
To his companions a fabulous fun-loving friend
Against oppression, a walloping warm-hearted warrior
His name was the Praised One
His mark was the one who can be trusted
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
So much love on him to him was confessed
Could they have ever really helped it?
They let it out, that silently awesome feeling
That passion for a man ravishingly noble
May my mother and father be sacrificed for you
That they said, that they meant, that they would have done
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
He had always sought this brightest face
Happiness in his heart that trickled
Yet one day he had cried staring at this noble face
What is wrong Oh Thaubaan?
The blessed voice so had asked
Your company even after death that I yearn
But how can I when you are so high?
Smile and smile, you will be with him whom you love
The glitter of the nobility of the noblest of the nobles
This is love! This is love! This is love!
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
When is that Day about which we prepare?
Curiosity made him ask
What do you take with you to that Day?
Worry not about anything else
The noble voice had asked
Nothing but my love for Allah and for you
The sincerity of a curious soul
Smile and smile, you will be with him whom you love
The lustre of the nobility of the noblest of the nobles
This is love! This is love! This is love!
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
And the ‘Ameer al-Mu'mineen to him had confessed
I love you! I love you! I love you more than it all but me
No ‘Umar! No ‘Umar! It has to be only but me
That attractive glow, that beam, that radiance
Ibn al-Khattab had confirmed, indeed it was only him
That again and again he professed
I love you! I love you! I love you more than it all but Him
That is the man about whom you should learn
That is the man for whom your passion should burn
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
This is the nobility about which I sing
This is the nobility I live to praise
This is the nobility whose love drunken me
This is the nobility I wish to see
This is the nobility I pray to touch
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
