In The Arms Of A Thousand Maidens Poem by Justin Gildow

In The Arms Of A Thousand Maidens

In the shire
Flowers are in the arms of a thousand maidens
Yet they smile
And little stars form in their eyes
They softly hum a tune as they walk along
While dealing with the day the best they can
And remain healthy and strong

Bags of coins are in the arms of a thousand maidens
Used for buying food, clothes, gifts, and other things they won't dare to forget
It's a way of life
And it matches well with their lifestyle
While making the lives they live worthwhile

Happiness is in the arms of a thousand maidens
Helping the less fortunate
While spreading the day for the unlucky ones with cheer
Telling the children there's nothing to fear
While moving the parents to joyful tears

Love is in the arms of a thousand maidens
Some haven't been struck by Cupid's arrow
Some are letting their hearts lead them
And they more than willingly follow
Wherever leads them to prominence
They're more than ready to go

In the arms of a thousand maidens
There's sure to be a thousand more other things
From beautiful sashes to elegant gold rings
But I know
That in the arms of a thousand maidens
They all share their gifts with me
They all share their memories with me
They give me glorious memories
They hand over to me, their glorious reverie
