In The Autumn Of October { Sonnet X-X I I I } Poem by Frank James Ryan Jr...fjr

In The Autumn Of October { Sonnet X-X I I I }

October leaves behind.....its charm,
November winds fracture young limbs,
Scent o' flowers hail impending doom
In Mother Nature's cold hearted womb
Exacting harsh change upon'er throne-
Of autumntide whereby she calls home.

Her sunsets pour red....like Cabernet,
Leaving Augusts haze memories far away,
While o'er harvests- gathering fields,
Soft Autumn mist fosters harvests meal.
Mother Nature pro-curates...with tease
Off th' wisp of Octobers sudden breeze

Ochre leaves dangling from their branch-
Til Winter comes to silence their Dance.
