Why
The lullaby
It will only make us cry
A sad refrain
Will only recall the pain
She is gone
To see a new dawn
We were fools to think
We would not sink
Into depression
Will we need another session
Of therapy
Or will we
Cry forever
Never
Seek another endeavor
Why
A lullaby
A million tears won’t bring her back
I know I was the first to crack
But I must be the first to mend
We cannot see this as the end
Life left her too soon
To the other side of the moon
Remember the laughs
We have the photographs
Pledge never to forget
Forever be in debt
For the light our little girl
Brought to our world
And the hope she leaves behind
Don’t let a blink of an eye leave us blind
