In The Cave Of Hira Poem by Ishrat khan

In The Cave Of Hira

While katija r.a began to worry 'where he would've gone? '
Inside the cave of Hira, prophet Mohammed (pbuh) was all alone
Wondering 'who could've created this whole universe'
Suddenly, a man appeared in front of him with some God's verse
As he was proceeding to him slowly and near
Ar rasul's heart started pounding nd trembled with fear
He was the angel Gibrael sent to him by Allah's will
Unknown to his arrival, occured him confusion still
'Read' from the Angel's voice he heard
Alarmed by what he's experiencing was unknown and absurd
He panicked and said 'I cannot read'
The angel by Allah's order wanted him to pay heed
He held the prophet and pressed him very tight
After releasing him asked again to read for the second time
'I cannot read' again the prophet replied
The angel squeezed him painfully he almost felt died
'O mohammad read' for the third time the angel asked
'I cannot read' repeatedly the prophet replied
'Read by the name of your lord who created man from a clot
Who taught by the pen taught man what he knew not! '
He recited these verse after the angel left
He was frightened, astonished and began to sweat
'O messenger of Allah I'm Gibrael' above him he heard the voice
He gazed at the angel and shivered like he lost his poise
He returned home to khadija 'envelop me' said with terror
She wrapped him and he embraced her as he drew closer
She comforted him saying 'Allah has chosen you as a prophet for mankind as a whole
By whose hand is the control of our soul'
