In The Colorful Awe Poem by Zahra Ahmad

In The Colorful Awe

In the colorful awe,
The black skin crawling on the land of mud.
I was wearing a gown, black inner and white outer with studs.

The clay on the house and the rain in the inn,
All make me scared with Rummy win.

I wrote a note to a fellow, how myself is teased.
A man came and made a moral speech.
If the woods are lovely, dark and deep
I saw the human having eternal sleep.

Red on my hands and blue on the paper.
Black are in danger and white are safer.

O Desdemona, come, I cherish you.
People are in peace who are out of warring jar.
