In darkness shines the moon
as I wander through my mind
the sun forgotten too soon
my search for love gone blind

Take me away the night
into silent eternity
where stars shine bright
in the sky’s blue clarity

Time now long forgotten
caught by winds over meadows
and the days cherished then
are cast with dusted shadows

Still in youth much too soon
have I brought unto me
the darkness of the moon
where nothing bright is there to see
