In The Days - Poem by Timothy hopkins

In the days when i was lonely,
In the days when my heart wondered for love,
In the days when the sun burnt my joy,
In the days when the wind blew my hope,
In the days when the rain washed my desire for love.
Those days are gone, replaced by your ever presence in my life,
Today you have conquered my body and soul
my sweet love

The phrases made with sun and wind make perfect poetic sense, but when it comes to the one made with rain this sense declines a bit; it does not sound or comes out as good writing.

The rest of the poem is fine and deserves some clapping for the effort put into it.

In the general, I liked this try, and I urge you to continue writing; something may come out of it, a good or excellent poet perhaps.

Take care and please check my book, One Hundred Sonnets, book one at Amamzon, com. Type the name of the book, or my name: Luis Estable and you will see.

    The best to you now!
