In The Heat Of The Night

In The Heat of The Night
: FreeBird 02

There once was a fury; in the heat of the night…

If I die before I awaken
What actions could reprieve me
From at least one of my misfortunes
I had mistaken?

There once was a fury; in the heat of the night…

Now I ask, of me, from you
Forever hold my feelings true; for you
For if, of me, tomorrow never comes
My sword of passion will never lie to rest
In protecting your heart so true
In your love of me, with you.

There once was a fury; in the heat of the night…

Where passions were granted
To each one's longing delights
Hand in hand, we walked upon the sands
Longing for no more, than we could see
Each time we gazed, within the other's sincere eyes
Conveying all our longing hearts did desire.

There once was a fury; in the heat of the night…
