In The Night Poem by Brianna Wilshusen

In The Night

All the people,
I meet in the street.
Alone and dark,
They look at me like,
Why is human here?

In our lost cold layer,
The danger shes in,
When will she realize.
She will break like a twig,
In our cold undead grip.
In an instant gone,
And forever lost.
Wait she is looking,
For who is that man?
I start to see clear,
That her man is me.

She wants to die here,
To be just like me.
To drink sweet blood,
Of warm human flesh.
To live in the darkness,
To be held in my grasp.
As I hold her close,
And she prays for death.
I see all these thoughts,
As she comes my way.
She stops in her place,
As I take her hand.
I bring her away.
To a place of love.
And as we speak,
Something has come.

I ask real quick,
When she wants this done.
She said real soon,
So I lean in close.
As the beast stops dead,
He sees the move.
And he retreats home,
To tell his pack.
I watch her in pain,
And decide to flee.
As I pick her up,
She mutters these words,
Thank you my love,
Now we must go.

The pack is coming,
And with her I run.
I bring her to safety,
Where she cannot be harmed.
During her three days,
And I leave to hunt.
Very soon she'll become,
A creature of night.
She'll live with my kind,
Vampires if light.
