In The Silhouette Poem by Ami Joshi

In The Silhouette

Rating: 2.5

With a drop of rain,
The butterfly smiled.
Smiled with the flower...

With the flower,
Together,
Swung...
Laughed...
Kissed...
Dreamed...
Swayed, with the wind..

The flower dried,
Dried and browned...

Left the butterfly alone,
Alone with her shadow..

Alone..
Shed tears,
whipped and
Swung alone...

Alone,
With the sun...
Paused to see,
To see her silhouette,
Against the dimming sky.
