they say in these
confusing times we are
more needed

thinking perhaps that
we fit more
within the frame of chaos
rather than peace

someone just screamed
if they have the guns and bullets
we have the finest poets

someone followed it up with
a comforting note
that we shall win in this
fight

i am not that refined
but i am glad i have chosen
to be here, yes, just to be here

always ready with words, just words,
as i keep too honing and whetting my
swords
