In Your Company Poem by Kristi Wilkinson

In Your Company

Rating: 5.0

I drove to the eastern shore today,
Thinking of you all along the way.
As I sit and watch the water,
heavy on my mind
is you and me,
Wondering if all of this
Is really meant to be.
I hear you in the sound
of the waves,
I don't think you realize
I need you at the dimming of the day.
I am drowning in a
river of tears,
I just need you close
To whisper in your ear.
Come of the night you are
The only one I want,
Come of the night
you could be my confidant.
Why don't you come
Ease your mind with me,
Let me be the one
That is in your company.
