In Your Eyes - Poem by Andrew Degen

In your eyes
I see our future
bright
gleaming
promising
I wait for you
thinking of what might happen
if I were to lose you
what would I do
if you left
and never had that thought
to glance at me once more
to combine our sorrowed souls
together
as one
our thoughts become the same
