I don’t know why I had to go
I just know I miss you so.
I wish you were here right by my side
‘cause when I’m with you I’m so filled with pride

Our time apart doesn’t seem that long
As the days go by our love grows strong.
I’ll be home soon you must believe,
Never again will I have to leave

When I hold you again I’ll never let go
When I show you my love, then you will know.
Until I come home in your mind you must bear,
If you look in your heart I will always be there.
