Inaction Poem by Shirow Walker

Inaction

I saw her just once.
She had such pretty eyes.
A comforting sadness lay in them.
The way she walked, as if she never touched the ground.
She floated along, like in one of those fairytales my mother use to read to me.
A deep sadness has been left in her place,
I wish I would have said something to her.
At least I would have known.
At least Id have no regret.
Such a sweet smile she had.
Now she is lost to me forever, because of my inaction.
