Incompatability Poem by Fiona Burgess

Incompatability

With these words I set you free
You and me weren't mean to be
No matter how I wish I was wrong
You just can't change incompatability.

And none can say we didn't try
Threw caution to the wind so we could fly
In the end we're just too different
Best to finish now before time passes by.

The love we had will always remain
But we have to part to stay sane
Before the love turns to hate
And the sunshine turns to pouring rain.

Let there be no bitter whys
No what ifs and heart weary sighs
We both know this is how it goes
So let there be no tear sodden eyes.

With these words I set you free
So we can be what we're meant to be
Free from chains we'll never make
You just can't change incompatability.
