Incomplete! Poem by James Barrs

Incomplete!

Incomplete! Just like the novel,
Last chapter torn out. Unfinished
directions, in a foreign location.
Of all the possible interventions
They chose to leave this alone, As if
Patience overcomes caring. A path
This overgrown should have led away
From indenture. Walls of solitude imprison
Like chains and shackles. Sentenced.
