Incomplete Poem by a nobody named maui

Incomplete

Rating: 5.0

i press my forehead against the cold mirror
avoiding the eyes of the one reflected
lest i drown in its despair,
hollow and empty, that is how i am,
as empty as the nothing that remains
everytime you say goodbye to me,
and i call for your merest touch
so that at last, this soul may rest.

on days such as this, the emptiness
leaves footprints upon the heart
and at instances create wounds gaping open
where memories bleed,
the cold contained within
engulfs the soul as lonely as this void,
its blankness cries for the touch of the one
who will fill it with warmth.

solitude is biting,
it's cruel and it's frightening
like a disease, it consumes
and the only remedy is found
in the rarest of touch,
the seeping of your essence
in every corner of my being
and every facet of this empty heart.

today, everyday, anyday
within this endless forever,
i beg of you,
complete me with a simple touch,
it is my cure, the only one i need,
to save me from the insanity
of being incomplete.
